The show's been selling out recently, and according to Talkin' Broadway when its sold out, it sells SRO.
Does anybody know if they're actually doing it?

Posted: 4/22/07 at 11:24pmI bought it over Winter Break, so I'm sure they are still selling them when they are sold out.

Posted: 4/22/07 at 11:29pmI went four times this Saturday for the evening show (including 8:00) and they did not sell standing room. They said they did not sell out.

Yes they do still have standing room but they are strict about the show being sold out.....
They weren't sold out Saturday. A few of my friends tried around 4PM and they still had about 100 seats that needed to be sold.

Ok... well at least they sell it.
I'm gonna try and do it on like a Saturday matinee (those ALWAYS sell out for this show).

I am planning a trip to NY the third week in July and was hoping to see Beauty and the Beast before it closes (I have never seen it). I was wondering if I should purchase a ticket now or take my chances with the TKTS Booth or SRO (please keep in mind I am trying to make this a fairly inexpensive trip). Thanks for any help and advice!

Posted: 5/12/07 at 5:45pmThey have a discount code out now for tickets. And it's good until the 28th of July. The seasts came to about $73 with all the extra charges. They also have cheap $40 in the rear mezz. Since you are going closer to the show closing I would probably try get get the ticket ahead of time. It'll be summer so there will more than likely be more people trying to get the SRO and tickets from TKTS to see it before it closes.

Please keep in mind that you have to be quite tall to see over the wall for BATB SRO. I believe it is at least 5'5".
(Well, to me 5'5" is tall, at least.)

Posted: 5/12/07 at 7:21pmThanks for the help! Which site has the discount code? I've checked broadwaybox.com but their code expires on May 31st. Also, thanks for the head up for SRO, being that I am only 5' 1", I think that counts me out :)

Really? You should think before you give false info. This link says otherwise.

Posted: 5/12/07 at 7:53pmI have done SRO at Beauty. And the whole you have to be 5'5 thing is more of a guideline rather then a strict rule. they tell you it more for your benifit then anything else.

There was one on BroadwayBox that I used about two weeks ago to get tickets. I guess they took it down. Not sure where you can find one then. I would try Playbill but I'm not sure that they have one.
BOXSB was the code that was on BroadwayBox and it was valid until July 28th. I don't know if they took it down because they would be able to sell full price tickets over the summer.

They DO offer SRO ONLY when the show is SOLD OUT! So stop saying they don't! A few friends of mine were about to do it about 2 weeks ago.... They may have thought you were asking about that day and the show wasn't sold out so they told you no.
It depends on the time. You can check earlier in the day but I would keep checking back. This is one show where even if it's 5 minutes until curtain and they aren't sold out they still will not sell you a SRO ticket which sucks. But it depends on the night.

Posted: 5/24/07 at 12:23amIf the show is sold out for the Saturday night performance this weekend before Saturday, will they go onsale at 10am when the box office opens? I feel like since it is a holiday weekend, Beauty and the Beast will be a hot ticket.

Posted: 5/24/07 at 12:47amWouldn't they go on sale when the show actually sells out? If it is sold out by 10 am, then they will start selling them at that time.
