My mother and I are going to New York in December and we are seeing three shows. We are going to Next to Normal for sure, but I am having trouble deciding on the other two. I have narrowed it down to:
A Little Night Music(would that be approriate, I don't no much about the show? For reference, I saw A:OC with her and had no problem)
Bye Bye Birdie
Ragtime
WSS
Phantom of the Opera
Any opinions would be very helpful.
P.S- I know that Ragtime and A Little Night Music aren't open yet, so those opinions would be based soley on the material.

Impossible to guess since we don't know your likes and dislikes...but:
A Little Night Music definitely. (Mom will love it.)
I hated WSS and Phantom and wouldn't recommend either to anyone (others will disagree).
Ragtime would be my next pick.
You see dramamama, I really don't have likes or dislikes. I mean the only show I have been to that I not like was ...Forum.
Well, I that info doesn't change anything.
However, if that's true...it doesn't really matter what you see.
I agree with Dramamama. Not much help, but, it's what I would see.
I understand, I just wanted all of your opinion on what is good. For example, if it was even open then, I wouldn't be seeing Memphis.
Oh and also, I haven't seen many shows, so thats why I haven't disliked a lot of shows.

I saw WSS and loved it. I know many people find flaws in it, but I really didn't. Then again, I'm not one of the those picky theater goers. I pretty much see anything.

I would consider HAIR as well. I'm biased, though! Bye Bye Birdie hasn't had the greatest reviews here on BWW, so I would skip it.
I have to suggest Finian's Rainbow, since it's one of my personal favorites. But definitely A Little Night Music and Ragtime.
