No idea when you should buy them, but keep in mind that you do not actually go backstage...

I really liked it but you do not go backstage. You should get them the day before that is what I did like early and they sell at the merchandise table

Better yet... skip it. You'll be more than sourly disappointed. I've yet to meet anyone who has done that Behind the Emerald Curtain thing and wasn't pissed/disappointed.

From the videos I have seen of it it just looks like they put up a shrine to themselves. They make it seem like it's true art that needs to be seen. It's pure crap.

Is it basically just a showcase of costumes/props as well as some video? That sounds so disappointing.

Yes, that's all it is. I'm a huge fan of the show, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The only interesting part is the Q&A, and that's only good if the people in your group ask good questions.

Tourists get a kick out of the entire thing, however.
