EponineAmneris, no offense, but do you ever have your own opinion? You always seem to go with whoever else has posted before you, like if everyone loves it, you do, or if everyone hates it, you do.. just an observation.

I saw her getting out of a taxi on 44th street today. Funny.
Anyhoo, having seen the show twice with the original cast, and once with her and Harry, I can say that I enjoyed her cast much more than the originals. Tim and Sara looked so bored, like they were just going through the motions. Even the people around the theater agree that they (Tim and Sara) were just showing up for the paycheck half the time. Lauren and Harry are having a grand ole time and it shows. Who cares if she's not the best singer? You're not going to see a show like this for singers.

I thought she was lovely and real.
Thanks for sharing. She has a cute sense of humour.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm also a huge fan of Lauren's Lady of the Lake. She has a great sense of delivery and usually gets the bigger laughs from her material. And she sings the part fiercely, particularly that final note of The Diva's Lament. I'll be sad when she leaves.
Anyone else think she looked like Satine from Moulin Rouge when she was in costume? So gorgeous.
Wow, what a difference makeup and some red hair makes. She looked fantastic in costume, but she certainly doesn't come off as much of a "diva" regardless.
She looked good in the costume, I'll give her that. But jeez, that was duller than watching paint dry.
I think she is a great lady of the lake. Her comedic timing isn't perfect, but she is thoroughly entertaining.
The clip was slightly awkward with all her pouts and such. Great personality, though I still think she looks sorta ingenue-ish, even with the red hair.

Lauren was cute. That was just bad editing.
i love lauren kennedy i agree with people when they say that she gets bashed every time her name is brought up. personally i thought she did a great job in the show as the lady of the lake. it is her interpretation of the character and if you don't like it well thats too bad for you. the video was awesome i was waiting for broadway.com to interview her.
I do think they should have shown some new press footage along with the interview. But I really enjoyed it, I happen to love the part of the Lady of the Lake and found all the costume/makeup stuff really interesting. It was cool to see what that costume looks like close up.

My friend saw Spamalot and she said she wasn't very funny.

I happened to have really like Lauren, though I'm biased because I've been a fan of her for so long (I've seen her in Side Show, Les Miz, The Rhythm Club, Last 5 Years, etc). I also love her cd. Anyone know the address for the stage door at Spamalot? I'd like to write her.

a Google search brought up
225 West 44th Street New York NY 10036
or you can always email her through her website
I just saw Lauren and Spamalot for the first time today, and I have to say I really did enjoy her performance. She was funny through and through, although I only wish she were more of a diva when she entered in Act II.
Awww! Now that I've seen the video, I can comment on what everyone's been saying; I think she's absolutely adorable and that she can laugh at herself, and though I didn't find it nearly as boring as everyone else, I do agree that it could have been edited better to showcase the process. But I'm a total fan.
Going slightly off-topic, y'all should watch Steve Kazee's video as well. He's hilarious.
Do not get me started, seriously, DON'T DO IT! We all know who should be in that role, on that video, taking over, whatever, 'nuff said. I'll go sulk in a corner all by my lonesome.
Ruprecht - would that be Rue McClanahan?
Craig Brockman ladies and gentleman, Craig Brockman! That was very good CB, very good indeed and no, the correct answer is Melanie Griffith or any of the ex Spice Girls!

How long is this going to keep on?
When Marin takes over, when Marin's replacement takes over, when Marin's replacement's replacement takes over, when hell freezes over?
You can claim that the powers-that-be missed on a golden opportunity on the first time around to cast your favorite Orfeh. Yet, when ANOTHER opportunity came around, Marin Mazzie got the part. What does that say?
"What does that say"?! It says casting directors and people in charge of such things are totally fallible, make big fat Gawd awful mistakes all the time and in this case, continue to do so. Btw, I went out of my way to be lighthearted about it and never once mention Orfeh but *you* took it there and far more seriously and angrily than need be. Please don't tell me you think that the casting/replacment choices that go on and have gone on in the past, were always to your liking and/or "perfect". Now, unless you're somehow involved with the casting process of Spam, why do you care so much that I (and tons of others here and on ATC) thought and continue to think Orfeh would be a great LOTL, in Spam? Really, what's it to ya? Sorry I didn't mention Cheno, Menzel or Foster which seem to be the only 3 that get to be mentioned ad nauseum with no issue.
Sheesh!

I agree with you that some casting choices have made me say "huh?"
BUT
there is no point in going on and on and on about it in every single Spamalot thread about how your favorite should have been chosen.
The decision was made almost a year ago.
And another decision was again made recently.
This most recent time your favorite was not chosen AGAIN.
The question is how is all this constant ranting about who would be perfect in the role working for you?
Has it gotten Orfeh cast in the role? Will it get her cast in the role? Are you actually thinking someone will listen?
Me involved in casting of Spamalot???? LOL. Hardly!
Than again, the question begging to be asked is WHAT do you care and furthermore, I was the very last person to say a thing on this thread, and I have to say, I was the kindest where Kennedy was concerned being that I never mentioned her at all. It was a JOKE, one that Craig obviously got and one that got right past you. Why don't you blast some other fanatic like oh say, Phantom2 who solely and EXCLUSIVELY talks about "the girl with the golden hair". Really, you need to lay off as it's simply not all that serious and I'm sure I care a whole helluva alot more about this than Orfeh does. If you want to carry on with the lambasting, take it to PM, this thread has sufficiently been jacked.
Now wait just one stinking second Musicalsfan, are you trying to tell me that actual casting directors and people with a modicum of power and jobs of some import in thee ayy tah DON'T actually sit around all day reading this message board and making their casting decisions based on what the posters here say? Next you're going to tell me the stars on BWW aren't "really" stars anywhere else. A sad sad day for me.
