So I heard from an interview with Mike Faist that the whole original cast is staying with the show until November. Ben Platt is definitely my favorite actor and I'm going to be upset when he leaves since I'm going in January. However, I really want people to understand that he has devoted so much to this show over the past years and I really don't want people to give him hate for leaving. Just appreciate the fact that he's stuck with the show for so long and affected the lives of so many (including me) through his true talent at portraying Evan Hansen. :)

There are like two people on here that don't appreciate Ben. This isn't necessary, he's an adult and he's fine.

not to mention this isn't exactly news. Nor is it accurate. While we all knew all of their contracts are up in November, that doesn't necessarily mean that they are ALL leaving. That almost never happens.

And to add to the above, I don't think I've every seen anyone here throw around shade for an actor leaving, so no need to brace for any sort of onslaught.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
