I am about to get tix for Dear Evan Hansen for March (still some tix left :)) Does anyone know what days does Ben NOT perform? I assume he does weekends (which are sold out) but does he do Tuesday or Wed nights? Does he do matinees? Any insight would be so helpful! Thanks!

There is no alternate in the role (and I don't think he's missed a show).

He only performs when the show is sold out. If there's even one empty seat, he refuses to go on.

Just out of curiosity (already seen the show), what does this mean? The show doesn't go on if he's not on?

It means there is no alternate Evan, meaning Ben Platt does all eight shows a week.
There are understudies.

Oh interesting.. for shows that have alternates, are the schedules known?

It depends on the show. Sometimes they're cagey (see: School of Rock), but sometimes the actors post the schedules themselves (like Ali Ewoldt in Phantom).

I mean, I have the same rule.
