I'm bouncing this thread to tell everyone to go see Ben in The Good Shepherd. He has a nice little featured role with the Bonesmen... and the film is done very well.
Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Posted: 12/27/06 at 3:48pmI never had the good fortune to see the show at all, but i've heard nothing but amazing things about mr. eakeley. i love it on the broadway.com video when the announcer goes "Ben Eakeley, please sign in" and mano goes "you just heard god", and that's what inspired me to look him up. he's great! all the best to him.

In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever."

Posted: 5/1/08 at 11:11amJust saw the tour production of Sweeney in Chicago this week. I looked up Ben because I found his portrayal of the Beadle exceedingly sexy, not something I would usually expect out of the role! In the original (non-revival) Broadway production, the Beadle was a chubby older guy, fairly unattractive. Anyone who has seen the film or knows of Timothy Spall knows that the film Beadle was similar to my description of the OBC Beadle. So WOW! Definitely a different perspective. I really enjoyed his performance!
