Yes, but you don't have to be so protective:
"Hey sondheimfreak....have you ever had a bad picture of you takin before...i know i sure have....Bernadette looks like she is in her 40's...and that is that....I don't know what the Hell you are talking about....maybe you were stoned while looking at that picture....she looks a whole hell of a lot better than Chita Rivera, or Louise Pitre....this Board really had something agains Bernadette and i have no idea why??"

Posted: 8/26/03 at 9:52pmI have to agree with BwayTheatre11, bernadette88..you really need to calm yourself down. I adore Bernadette. As do you obviously, but that doesn't mean you need to go attacking others if they don't necessarily agree with you. I have been reading this forum since day 1 and ever since you started posting, agruments break out left & right. You're not justifying your case when you post like this. You only cause people not to want to read your posts...and unforunately not want to hear about Bernadette on this forum. You'd have a lot more success if you posted in a polite and intellectual manner rather than asking someone if they were stoned when they posted! Bernadette is a bg girl, she can take care of herself. And I'm sure she wouldnt want someone saying such cruel and rude things in her name. So, please can we stop attacking others merely because they have different views than you??

I know, that's understandable...but the rest of us are just stating our opinions about the subject...
Yes bernadette88, I think you need to calm down too. There are many of us Bernadette fans that can be open to her flaws...

Flaws??? Bernadette has flaws? Surely you jest! LOL I think most posters here were just giving examples of how this particular picture does not fairly represent the way Bernadette usually looks. But yes, we are all (even the non-Bernadette fans) a passionate bunch.
Okay, I'll accept a flaw. She has a fairly bad underbite. I mean were there no orthodondists in Ozone Park in the 50s and 60s? Ha ha. But of course it turns out the underbite is cute on her which gives us even more to love.

Since we already saw a not so great photo of Bernadette...I thought we should take a look at a couple that are! The rest of us can only hope and dream to look that good at 55:)

Posted: 8/27/03 at 9:55pmI love those pictures...they're my favorites of the day of her...she looks absolutely stunning in them, I think

Posted: 8/27/03 at 11:14pmYes, she is absolutely beautiful in both of these pictures! I have guy friends that are between the ages of 21-26 that drool over her...lol. I would say thats pretty good for a 55 year old to draw that much attention from young men in that age range!

I totally agree. These are the sexiest photos of Ms. Peters.
Don't jump me! Any 55 yr. old woman with close-ups like this wouldn't hesitate to have them enhanced to remove any facial flaws such as crows feet, puffy eyes, wrinkles. Not saying that she has or hasn't. But tweaking photos in "photo shop" is a matter of a few clicks. I would do it in a heartbeat if I were her. Why not look your best in print.
She IS stunning!

Posted: 8/27/03 at 11:34pmI agree! She has a sexiness about her that comes from within and it makes everything on the outside work that much more. I wish I could be half the woman she is!

Posted: 8/28/03 at 9:36amHmmmm, check out the airbrushing under the chin and around the eyes.

Posted: 8/28/03 at 10:34amI have seen her up close in person, and in my opinion, she is beautiful:)

Yeah, a magazine picture (no matter how great) probably is not the best of examples on how a person really looks. Even a 25 year old who had any sense would have some airbrushing done for a photo shoot. Probably better to look at true candids. Bottom Line: we all take bad pictures and we all take good pictures.

Someone said to me at the beginning of the summer, "I'm sure you get this all the time, but you look like Bernadette Peters." I wanted to kiss them. (I really don't, but I'm tiny and pale and have "the hair", so I guess that's enough for some people.)
I think she's beautiful...and when I came home from Gypsy and was raving about how great she is and my mom said, "How old is she now, anyway?" and I told her, my mom was SHOCKED. She said, "She looks like a BABY!"
