I think Bernadette has gotten a lot more of the big parts (and Patti has been passed over) because Bernadette has a MUCH better reputation. Everyone wants to work with her. You would be hard pressed to find someone who has worked with Bernadette who wouldn't give her glowing reviews as a co-worker where as Patti has proven difficult in some productions. I think the same goes for Betty Buckley. This is why, in my opinion, Patti and Betty are mostly stuck doing concerts because its their show and they can act like a pain in the ass Diva all they want. Bernadette has never had that reputation and always acts like one of the team.

Right. Employment opportunities in most fields aren't based exclusively on ability (important as that is). Other factors come into play--like just plain personal tolerability. Once you've established a difficult reputation, it can be hard to overcome.

WOW,lol.....These two are alomost impossible women to compare! They have completely different vocal styles and acting techniques; basically they're just stylistically so different from one another. I would honestly have to say Bernadette for overall quality and performance, but Patti is still a huge personal favorite...They are both amazing actress' in their own right!
