Was anyone else slightly disappointed in this CD?

Bernadette's Sondheim, Etc. is beyond amazing and is, in my opinion, one of the best live albums ever, so I knew it wouldn't match it, but Sondheim, etc. etc. just wasn't near as good as I had hoped.

I just checked that out of my library today.

I love "Unexpected Song." I didn't listen to the full CD yet. The Overture was great also.

You had to know that is was not going to be as good. But I still love it. Unexpected Song and Children Will Listen. I just love it!

I swear I could listen to her sing anything. I'm a little disappointed though. I guess when I think anybody doing a concert at CH, I always think of Judy Garland and her 2 disc 40th anniversary CDs. I love the dialouge bits that she does, and I'm glad that Bernie does a little bit of that too, I just wish there was MORE!

My personal favorite on this CD is Faithless Love. I walk around the house singing it all day. It's also what I hear before I go to sleep at night...I figure it kind of like Bernadette tucking me in and singing me to sleep...I love the CD...like i said, just wish there was MORE

I figured they selected the best selections for Sondheim, etc. so this second album was sort of destined to be of less merit if you wanna say. Unexpected Song is great though, and the Overture and Children Will Listen are spectacular. But honestly I could sing Bernadette Peters doing Seussical, the musical and I'd think she's amazing so...
