The production values in Phantom are astounding!

The rest... isn't.

Emmy's constant scooping made my skin crawl. She doesn't have the voice for the role, nor does Gerard Butler. So even though I adore Phantom, the way they slaughtered it is going to have to make me go with Evita.

I think I could handle Phantom better if the entire movie soundtrack (except for Masquerade) wasn't conducted at half-tempo. Every. Thing... Is... SO...

...SLOW.

And then you get to Masquerade, where everything is so sped-up it's insane.

Seriously, I can't get through the movie now because it's so damn "tempo impaired."

I have to say JC Supersstar for Carl Anderson's Judas alone! His Heaven on their minds and superstar are untoppable...and the chemistry/tension he creates with Neely's Jesus is great!
