Don't forget that there are Tonys outside of musicals... Phillip Bosco was amazing in Twelve Angry Men... Doesn't anyone see plays anymore?

Unfortunately I haven't seen many straight plays so I don't want to guess about things I don't know about.

Though I don't think he would get nominated, there's also the leading man in Good Vibrations for TGIF's list.

Aren't all of the 12 Angry Men only eligible for Featured Actor in a Play?

That's a good question... I don't know... but there were definately jurors with larger parts than the others... even thought they're all onstage the whole time... I really don't know... hmmm...

Don't be sorry... just see more plays... That's really where the quality acting is... there's no fancy lights or sets or anything to hide mediocrity in other areas. Case in point: Dracula... people would NOT have paid as much attention to it if the sets and effects weren't totally amazing

I love both, I don't think they are really comparible, both require very refined acting skills, most of the time.
Dracula is a good case in point in that despite the sets and costumes it failed miserably. There are more factors that can help a musical, but that also means there are many more things that can fail.

I can't wait to see Norbert win his Tony! Since he's the favorite, I wonder what they'll perform? GBS or Ruprecht? Oh, I'm so excited! I've got award season fever!

I'm almost positive DRS is gonna perform "Dirty Rotten Number," just taking away little bits that give the plot away. Both John and Norbie get to sing, and hopefully they'll get Sherie in on the action as well.

If Daniel Davis won it would not only be well deserved it would be poetic justice. But don't the producers have to enter his name? I doubt that will happen. Is La Cage re-opening on Thursday so that Goulet will be eligible? Could that happen?

Lithgow (just too faux sophisticated. funny and Musical)
Azaria, Hide pierced, and Curry,
But Beach could Reach Up from Behind
Jackson goes to Featured and takes that.
