Ok, I saw the senior showcase at Julliard last year. It was a play called Rebel Armies Deep Into Chad, there were 4 actors. 2 boys and 2 girls.
It was a weird show. But, the actors were incredible. I can't even begin to explain how talented these people were. The 2 girls had to learn african accents, and they sounded perfect.
Julliard does meet its repuatation. Its students blew me away.
BUT! Otherwise, I'm looking into Webster and Roosevelt. Those are my top 2. Roosevelt I'd go for musical theatre, but Webster I'd go for regional theatre. Check em out!

"Emerson also has a restructuring program, so you may start as BFA, but wind up as BA by the end of the 4 years."
A huge majority of schools with BFA's have a re-audition after two years, Emerson not being an exception. Within most of them if you work hard and prove you want to be in BFA, you are fine. Some people move to BA voluntarily, and in that re-audition time some people from BA move to BFA.

To include NYU in the discussion of top BFA acting schools is absurd. Every post that lists it as a top BFA school makes me wince, and it goes to prove that people post here without really knowing what they are talking about. NYU has arguably the best graduate program in the country right now (Yale is the other top MFA school), but the graduate (MFA) program is completely separate from the undergraduate program. They accept way too many students at the undergraduate level, and if you are serious about pursing a career as an actor, NYU undergrad is NOT the school for you.
The top three BFA schools--in my opinion--are unquestionably CalArts, NCSA, and Juilliard. All three have great reputations and the best faculty in the country. All three also accept classes of around 15-20 students, so there is tons of individual attention. These schools are the three top conservatories offering BFA training.
Minnesota also has a great program, but it is still relatively new.
Other than the those four schools, here are some other good programs:
SUNY Purchase
CMU
DePaul
