The Sound of Music. I never particularly liked the stage version before, but the film has made it impossible to watch the stage version without falling asleep!
Second -- I'll expect to hear screams -- Chicago. I went to the film knowing I'd hate it because it would lose all the "theatricalness", but surprisingly it was even more theatrical than the stage version. A few problems, but overall a total winner, in my book!
