The Hairspray tour was excellent and the Mamma Mia tours I have seen were pretty much identical to the London production (I haven't seen the Broadway production).

Hairspray was the best. I also loved Les Mis and Urinetown.

I'm very excited because I just ordered tickets to see the national tours of Phantom Of The Opera, Wonderful Town, and Evita (its first stop) next season.

The Mamma Mia tour that is in Los Angeles is awful....really laughable...so dissapointing...stay away at all costs.

Ya, my friend told me that Tour 1 is awful, but Tour 2 is ok.

I beleive the 42ND STREET touring production is a strong, talented cast! Jesus Christ Superstar is good also~ Natalie Toro is awesome as Mary! I love how they have made that show more contemporary! Les Miz is great! I think the best Non-Equity Tour out there is CATS. I saw Grease and was only impressed with the chic who was playing Marty. Well that's all I can think of right now. Coming my way for the 2004-05 Season are : THE KING AND I (w/Sandy Duncan), THE PRODUCERS, CHICAGO, MOVIN'OUT, and THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.

Mamma Mia Tour 2 is here in Buffalo right now and got a fabulous review in the paper plus I've talked to folks that have gone. They thought the cast had tons of energy and were really having a great time performing. :o) I have to finish and "emergency" a project and may not be able to see it at all :o(
