SO I'm doing a concert before I leave my home town possibly for good and I'm needing some input on a good "goodbye, thank you, I love and will miss you" type song. Of course it doesn't have to incorporate all of these but any ideas would be awesome! Any tear jerking is a bonus.
Oh, forget "For Good" because myself and my best friend are already doing it....Thanks!

How about ONCE BEFORE I GO - it could be melodramatically done, like Hugh Jackman did it in THE BOY FROM OZ?
Goodbye Until Tomorrow-The Last 5 Years
Well there's Your Eyes from RENT. Doesn't QUITE fit the description but it's a tearjerker alright! Or maybe Written in the Stars from Aida. Or Tell Her I Love Her from Urinetown. Sorry, from the 3 cast recordings I listened to last night so they're all kind of replaying themselves in my head. :-P
If you want to completely devastate your audience, sing "Saying Goodbye" from "The Muppets Take Manhattan." Always ruins me.
Or you could do "One For My Baby" or "For Now."
Don't Like Goodbyes
I second Mother's Younger Brother's suggestion.

We'll Meet Tomorrow - TITANIC (maybe a bit too dark and melodramatic...)
If I Never Knew You - Disney's film POCAHONTAS
I posted a song for you on the off-topic.
Does anyone know where I could hear a copy of "Once BEfore I Go" because I like the lyrics and the clip I heard on amazon but I can't DL it in Kazaa....
We'll never say goodbye - Art Garfunkel
it's a beautiful song.
"If you want to completely devastate your audience, sing "Saying Goodbye" from "The Muppets Take Manhattan." Always ruins me."
omg, I was watching that movie last week. I always cry during that song.
I think "Once Before I Go" is a good choice.
"Every Goodbye is Hello" from John and Jen.
I agree that "SAYING GOODBYE" from TMTM is a tear jerker.
Wanna laugh...
Wanna cry...
Saying goodbye...

"Con Te Partiro" ("Time to say Goodbye") by Andrea Boccelli. GORGEOUS, Italian/ popish song.
"You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel. It's really nice if your a soprano type.
I thought of a couple more: "Lift The Wings" from "Riverdance" and The Beatles' "In My Life."

Yet another question...you're all giving me such awesoem suggestions. Does anyone know how I could hear a version of Saying Goodbye from 'The Muppets...' I can oder the music but I'd rather not pay for it without hearing it. Thanks!
Have you looked on amazon.com? They might have a sample you can listen to. If I had a copy I would send it to you. I can send you the lyrics; do you want them?
Can't forget "Tell Me On A Sunday" from Tell Me On A Sunday (or Song & Dance).

What about "A Change in Me" From Beauty and the Beast? I suppose this would only be appropriate if you have changed...
