After listening to all three again, I changed my mind.

Either the OBR or the film. The Off Broadway is simply a classic. There are moments in it that I enjoy a lot better than the revival. The movie took what was in the OBR and made parts of it a bit better. The revival tried to copy the movie too much, and thats how it became so cutesy.

There was a London Tour Cast Recording. It's pretty bad. The accompaniment is all MIDI and the performances are across the board horrible. It's actually pretty hilarious if you ever track it down, though.

Ummm...sorry, guys. I'm gonna have to go with the revival. Ellen Greene's voice is just rather distracting to me.

defenitely have to go with the revival. rick moranis is a great seymour but hunter foster is unbeatable. and ellen greene is not exactly my favorite.

Really, I enjoy the OOBC and the Revival the best.

Personally, I like BOTH Ellen Greene and Kerry Butler, different actresses, different voices. The orchestrations and completness of the Revival are wonderful, however, they do have a more "American Idol" sound.

Kinda up to you though.

OffBroadway wins hands down but you need the new album to fill in the many gaps. I don't really midn the OffBroadway orchestrations--they're a bit dopey but that adds to the appeal to me--my one big complaint is how damn echoey Phil Ramone made the recording--anyoen else noticed/ All I can think is maybe he did it as a hommage to the Wall of Sound style...

The revival recording comes off better than much fo the show did on stage but is just lacking in attitude for me. I actually like the new songs for the movie (Some Fun Now is basically just a simplified version of Know though)

Listening to it makes me wish we'd get a recording of Ashman/Menken's first, very good funny score--God Bless You Mr Rosewater
