Hi!!!
I'm in my second year of university in New Brunswick, Canada but I absolutely hate it. I went here because I got a full scholarship to study Psychology and then I switched to English but my heart is always with performance theatre (mostly musicals). I have no dance training as I couldn't afford it when I was a child, no vocal lessons (I mostly taught myself, my mom would tell me if it sucked and made me start over, and I had a teacher in elementary and middle school who took time out of her evenings to listen to me sing and teach me a few things, but not a lot), and all of my experience comes from high school theatre productions where I played some leads. Where I come from there wasn't a lot of amazing singers or anything so I made it far there, but now I want to learn more and work towards my passion.
I need help on what the best schools would be in Canada that I could apply to. I may wait the next two years and then go (even though I want to go right this second) but I still need to know what I'm preparing myself for. (I've been thinking about Randolph a lot but again I don't know what the best options are)
Do you think I need to be already quite skilled to make it into a program in Canada? I'm good but I'm not the best. I don't have the strongest voice and I'm a shy person but it's what I want to do so I'm willing to work hard.
Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you :)

Hey. Private Message me and I'll answer your Q's.
Randolph or Sheridan are the 2 most known and prestigious (Sheridan moreso). Yes, you need to be skilled to get into any program, they are very competitive. If you are thinking of applying in 2 years, then you should be in dance and vocal lessons regularly starting now (especially since you haven't had any formal training). I'd also recommend getting into community theatre, to try it out past the high school level and see if you actually like it. It's not an easy career.

Hi,
I've got a college diploma in Business. And I want to study in Canada now and get into a good acting school.
I'm choosing between National Theatre School in Montreal, Simon Fraser University or Randolph Academy. What would you recommend?
