The Wizard of Oz (MSG) - Had to lol, I loved that show!
I'm going to be one of those people from left field who says MY FAVORITE YEAR. Most likely, ten years form now speaking of the current decade, I'll be saying SPAMALOT. Anyone know the major similarity between these two shows?

RENT couldn't have happened at a better time. The 90's in a sense was a time when our country "grew up". Things like AIDS were huge at the time that RENT came out and this show really brought life to something that the average american knew so little before. RENT has some amazing music and is altogether a good show but I think it was the best show of the 90's because it's the most memorable and probably made the largest impact
I forgot about The Secret Garden and Kiss of the Spider Woman...both wonderful shows.
Passion and Assassins need to be mentioned again!!!
i love you're a good man charlie brown, lion king, parade and rent
There were too many WONDERFUL shows in the 90's...

RENT hands down! it was one of the most invigorating, inspiring, and fresh and passionate shows Broadway had seen in a long time, and dare I say, still one of the only ones nowadays.
And now people are going to kill me for saying it, but I will always hold a place in my heart for "The Secret Garden" :) Sue me I was 13 when it came out on Broadway, and loved it.
Angels In America, as well definetly.
