Best cheap way to see MARY POPPINS?

EDIT: For reference, consensus/experience suggests that the best deal is to use a broadwaybox code to get boxes 11 or 12 for $31.50, or front balcony if that is not available.


It's been a long time since we had a thread on this, and I can't seem to find the tickets that people were talking about in the older threads (box 12, is it? I'm not sure if they raised the prices, they're unavailable on ticketmaster, or what).

Any suggestions as the cheapest way to see this (by myself) from a reasonable seat would be appreciated. Thanks.

My guess is that my best bet is using the Broadway Box code and sitting in the front balcony for $31? Would that be better than rear mezz w/ the code or the boxes?

I'd go with the front balcony before the rear mezzanine.

PS: Boxes 11 and 12 are the best boxes, and are the ones discussed in the past. They are now $60 (instead of $30, which is what I and many other paid when it was realized how much of a bargain they were)...

That might be the cheapest, but it certainly wouldn't be the best cheap way. :)

I'll see if I can get box 11 or 12 for $31.50 with the code at the BO today for next week sometime, otherwise I'll get the balcony. Thanks. If anyone else has something to add, please let me know.

When I saw it (over a year ago) I believe you had to get box tickets at the box office directly, which might be the reason you couldn't find them anywhere online.

Ordering the box seats is one of the strangest things about getting tickets for this show. When I sat in Box 11, I was online and had selected the then $30 rear balcony seats, but was instead given Box 11. So in my case, it was completely on accident that time. The best way to ensure that you get these boxes would be to go tot he box office directly, although calling wouldn't hurt.

Are the front Balcony seats good? In terms of the view?

Yes, front balcony is fine. Obviously you are looking down but you can see everything.

The cheapest way is to rent the movie and never let the painfully awful Broadway musical version ruin your childhood memories forever.

If you just can't say no, the balcony is fine, but like the Longacre balcony, there are poles that you don't want to be behind. Make sure you avoid them.

Good to know! I'll have invest in some front balcony tickets.

I'm always surprised by Disney's lack of student anything. For a company based on families and children, you'd think they'd be more kind to students and discounts.

The view from the front of the balcony is great. Not too far to see faces.

One thing though - the leg room. I don't know if it's just the front row, or all of the balcony, but I'm 5'1 and my legs were quite squashed!

Was able to use the code at the BO to get the $61.50 box seats in 11 down to $31.50. Will let you know how they are tomorrow. I would think that's the best way to see this show.
