The interstitial sequences of "Quidam" absolutely blew my mind at twelve years old, and I suspect they still would today. Something about the combination of the "nouvelle cirque" techniques with a Magritte-inspired presentation and a heavy Murakami/Lynch inspiration really clicked for me in a way no other Cirque du Soleil show did.
The opening sequence in which the Nobody Man drops his hat, Zoe puts it on and her house explodes outward and floats away still remains haunting (the fact that from time to time throughout the show we can see pieces of the furniture or of her "normal" family still floating in the air, lost, helps the impact).
