Best of luck, HIGH FIDELITY!

Again, one more thread that was meant to be positive, yet turned out negative. Sorry that some of us actually like this show!
For a positive thread about HiFi, go here: https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?thread=919197&dt=8. Yeah they cut the song out, but I thought it worked for the title of the thread.

1. Theatre_nut: I never once said that you couldn't enjoy HIGH FIDELITY. Ever. I don't care whether you love it or hate it.
2. siamese dream: Thank you for your nice and intelligent post. Wow, someone who can actually disagree with someone without getting petty and imature! But I disagree. Just as you are allowed to go around and proudly celebrate HIGH FIDELITY, it is surely my right to also say that I didn't enjoy the show. You said you enjoyed it once - do you have to say it again? It doesn't bother me that you do - and it shouldn't bother you that I don't. I wish others here could actually have an intelligent conversation about why they liked/disliked a show, as it seems you are capable of. Enjoy the show tonight. I do hope that you win lotto.
3. DryMartini: I don't love to be negative. I praise and run around talking about shows that I love. Recently, I absolutely loved THE CLEAN HOUSE, THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED, JAY JOHNSON, GREY GARDENS, etc. Yet, you didn't seem to chime in on those threads and say that I just loved to be positive. People here only focus on when people are being negative, which is why it is noticed more. I find that the mindless idiots of this board are obsessed with positivity - if it's not positive, don't say it! Well, that's foolish and life is nothing like that, darling. And for the record, your observations are incorrect. I am a failed nothing - I don't wish to be an actor, and I don't wish to be a writed. I am, however, finding a moderate success with what I actually do want to do - but I don't go on to tell you about that, because I'm certain that your inhuman psychic instincts regarding what I do should tell you that information. And I'm not an old, bitter person either - I'm a 21 year old male with a head on my shoulders. I know what I like, I know what I don't like - and I don't like crap. I don't write, so never attempted to get a show produced. Yet again, your humble "opinion" has failed you.

justme: Let's not make assumptions now, that just makes an ass out of you and me, well actually, just you.
Since you're so interested, I DID see the show, in Boston and the first preview in New York. For some reason, I had more fun in Boston. Probably because I thought they would've made it miles better, and was disappointed when they did not [though, again, I still had fun in Boston].
Break a leg, High Fidelity!

that's all I asked, did you see the show. Glad you did. No need to call someone an ass for asking a question.
What's with the anger today on this board? Is it this thread?

Just as you are allowed to go around and proudly celebrate HIGH FIDELITY, it is surely my right to also say that I didn't enjoy the show.
Oh, I don't doubt that it's your right to post that you hate the show various times, or any other show, for that matter. Hell, it's your right to start twenty Wicked Hatred or Cats Love threads if you so desired (I know you don't). Personally, I just don't agree with spreading as much negativity as you have about High Fidelity for any show, even shows that I think deserve it. If I don't enjoy a show, I'd be more inclined to negatively post about it once or twice, and then let those who happen to enjoy the show discuss the show in a positive fashion without constantly reminding them that I feel said show is garbage. I would hope others subscribe to the same philosophy because I feel it's the most polite and mature course of action, but of course it is your right to post whatever you choose. I wouldn't say this makes me obsessed with positivity, just someone who doesn't agree with raining on the proverbial parade, although I suppose I have been guilty of doing it at times as well. As I guessed in my last post, I suppose our opinions on this matter just differ... and that's perfectly fine. I just wanted to understand your rationale behind your posts. No hard feelings here.
On another note, I lost the lotto - quite a few older couples won who seemed to have no idea what the show is about. Congrats to them, although I can't really imagine older people enjoying the show given its humor rooted in pop culture. (No, I'm not bitter!) I'm looking forward to the reviews, although even I am not expecting any raves.
