Best options for The Outsiders and Maybe Happy Ending on a specific September date

Hi everyone, it's been a few years since I travelled to NYC and I have ONE DAY in the city later this month (a Wednesday) and I'd like to try and see the matinee of The Outsiders and the evening show of Maybe Happy Ending. 

My thinking was to wait until I get there and hope for cheaper tickets. I'll try the lottery, and if I fail there, does anyone know if they use dynamic pricing so tickets are cheaper to buy on the day? Or are there any promo codes for these shows? I am so used to London shows, I'm not sure how things are working on Broadway at the moment.

2-for-1 Broadway week is a big chunk of September, look into that for tickets
