Posted: 8/12/08 at 2:57pmComing from the UK next week and am wanting to buy a load of cheap cast recordings while I am over. A cast recording over here would cost me about $25-$30 so im hoping to snag some bargains. Where is the best place to buy them? Virgin Megastores?

virgin was the first thing that came to mind. you can get loads of not just cast albums, but other cd's for ten bucks.
another place would be Colony on 49th. it's very pricey, but they have some unique and out of print stuff that you can't get your hands on from anywhere else.

Posted: 8/12/08 at 3:00pmSome of the cast recordings in Virgin are about 18.99, which is a bit pricier than what I can pay at Circuit City or Best Buy, but that is the cheapest you can probably get in the area. Luckily, most of the cast recordings at Virgin have a sale price from $9.99 up.

To be honest- iTunes. $9.99.
Otherwise, you're going to have to pay about $20-$30.
Virgin has some deals, but they are generally just about as expensive.

Posted: 8/12/08 at 3:03pmGenerally, most of the cast recordings I've seen at Virgin were no more than $18.99, with a bulk of them being $9.99-14.99. iTunes is great too, unless the poster is looking for a hard copy of the CD.

Posted: 8/12/08 at 4:33pmWhen I was at the Virgin Megastore, I was in heaven. Yeah, they do have a bunch there for $10, some are a little more expensive, as people have already pointed out. But it is worth it, in my opinion. I got the In the Heights cast recording there for $17.99 about 6 weeks ago.
