Hi everyone,
I joined so I could ask about this. I'm planning to buy Hedwig tickets tomorrow, and I'm wondering about the best seats in the Belasco. I'd like to be on the Orchestra level and close but without having the edge of the stage (and/or people's heads?) block the upstage action. I'm fairly short (5'3") if that makes a difference. Would love to hear input from anyone who has seen a show there.
Any advice on what row to sit in is much appreciated!

I usually do for close side orchestra aisle, which eliminates a lot of your concerns. No one in front of you, etc., plus if Hedwig comes out for some crowd work, there you are!
Until the show loads in, hard to say how the stage will be vs. close seats. The front row for the Shakespeare shows there now seem very close to the stage, but will Hedwig's stage jut out that far? Sit further back? Go even further out into the crowd? etc?
Thanks for your reply! Is there a reason you go for side orchestra aisle rather than center orchestra aisle? Is that better for the "no one in front of you" reason? I was leaning toward center orch aisle, maybe row 4...but I don't really know what I'm doing.
Thanks for explaining about the stage position, too!

Side Orchestra aisle tends to give you a completely unobstructed sightline to the stage with no one in front of you. Center orchestra aisle, you're nearly guaranteed someone sitting in front of you and in your sight line to the stage.
If there is a very specific show with tight choreography and such where you'll appreciate it more from the center, then sure. But, I can't imagine that will be a concern for Hedwig.
Thank you so much for this advice! I got a right aisle seat and I'm so excited!
It is a very high stage (front row was fun for Verge!), I wouldn't want to be in the first 5-6 rows for anything there.
We got N aisle for Hedwig in May, after sitting in G side and O middle this weekend for Rylance
