A friend encouraged me to use these boards to plan an upcoming theatre trip to the city. So much useful information hidden in such an unfriendly site layout
I work in user interface design, and after reading through the same questions for the same shows on multiple threads that clutter up the site, a vast improvement would be made if each show had a thread hierarchy established by the site mods.
A simple IF-THEN algorithm could also be put into place to direct people to these standard threads when they try and create a new thread topic that seems to be duplicative.
Here is one example based on the threads that seem to get established for each show. ...
SHOW NAME
-Casting
-Preview Performances
-Post-Preview Performances
-Reviews
-General seating advice
-Rush and lotto
-Merchandise
-Stage door
This is based on impressions of a first-time visitor. I am sure regular users could improve upon the idea greatly. But the site would be so much more appealing if the discussion board section was more user-friendly.
