The producers of the Boop musical keep firing every writer they bring on board. It now has a truly cursed reputation.

I saw the Earth Girls workshop and thought it was kinda DOA; a lame rip-off of a merely OK movie. They didn't take the source material and transform it (a la Little Shop), they just tried to put the film on stage.

Yeah i have the Earth Girls Are Easy workshop on DVD, its fun and lots of laugh out loud moments but it needed to be bigger than the material itself and never was, it was just OK

The one thing I truly loved about the Earth Girls workshop was the inclusion of Scary Kisses by Voice of the Beehive as the finale. It's one of my favorite songs.

Lauren Kennedy has "Spread a Little Joy" from BETTY BOOP on her CD.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
