According to Turner Classic Movies, Betty Hutton has passed away. Her last appearances on Broadway were as Miss Hannigan in Annie and, as a temporary replacement for Carol Burnett, in Fade Out-Fade In.

OH NO! I love Betty Hutton! Her Capitol records releases from the 40's are spectacular! I would have loved to see her perform live, but I was born too late!
I will hoist a cocktail tonight to the delightful Ms Hutton!
ETA: Yes, Google is mistakenly reporting that today is her Birthday (86) but I see it on TCM and Wikipedia that she died earlier today. Well, it's a good excuse for you kids to check out her records or watch the tribute to her on TCM 3/15.

RIP Betty Hutton.
I loved her in Annie Get Your Gun, this is terrible news.
I'm so sad... She was a true original.

Hopefully TCM will replay that wonderful interview Robert Osbourne did with her a few years ago. She was a great talent and seemed like such a sweet lady.
And as I posted on the off-topic board, I believe she filled in as Miss Hannigan during the original Broadway run of Annie.
So sorry to hear this. Though I wish Judy could have completed "Annie Get Your Gun," I thought Betty did a good job.

Looks like you get your wish

My friend just told me about this
RIP, Betty.
I'm glad that TCM will be playing her Private Screening. I saw it about a year or so ago and really enjoyed it
I'm not seeing ANYTHING on the web confirming that Betty passed away - just that today is her 86th birthday.
it's on Yahoo and all the news pages if you search
