re: If Funny Girl Came Back To Broadway...?

Julia Murney would be fantastic, I agree. Her rendition of "People" from the Actor's Fund Concert was amazing. Leslie Kritzer would be terrific, as well.

re: Best Dressed at the Tonys?

Laura looked FABULOUS.
I also thought that Brooke Shields, Christine Baranski, and Deanna Dunagan looked wonderful.
I was actually a little surprised about how GOOD Patti looked. I love her to death, but her fashion choices at the Tonys usualy leave me concerned.

re: Favorite acceptance speech

Patti and Mark Rylance
re: Patti:

Haha! For a second I thought Glenn was presenting Best Lead Actress in a Musical and I was like "Who let THAT happen. Patti will knock her out with the Tony"
re: GYPSY Reviews

That photo is absolutely stunning. I love it.
re: Forgotten 'post Golden age' movie musicals

Ohh, yes. Definitely Bedknobs & Broomsticks. It was one of my favorite films as a kid. Great movie.
re: GYPSY Reviews

I'm a little late (I was on vacation with very little computer access) but I'm so glad that Gypsy got such phenomenal reviews! Can't wait to see it!

re: Famous people who you saw at a broadway show

Victor Garber and Michael Cerveris when I saw Gypsy last summer. I also ran into Sondheim outside of the theater before the show began. Pretty surreal experience, I have to say.
re: You're first broadway cast recording

I remember getting the movie soundtrack AND the OBCR of The Sound of Music for my birthday when I was about 6... I listened to them every day.

re: TCM Love Thread

New York, New York is pretty enjoyable, especially if you're a fan of Liza's. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember thinking that it was rather long. It has some great musical numbers in it though (obviously)

The Lady From Shanghai is going to be on tomorrow at 6:30. Has anyone seen that?

re: Fosse vs. My Favorite Year (March Madness, Round 1, game 31)

Fosse!

re: The Greatest/Most Classic Broadway Musicals of All Time?

Gypsy
Anything Goes
West Side Story
Chicago

As a kid 42nd Street was always the show that I felt WAS Broadway. I think it was because of the tap dancing and the songs. A romanticized idea of Broadway, I guess.

re: Theater Etiquette-GRRR

I think that nice Jeans- worn with a button down and nice shoes possibly- are acceptable.
I agree with you there. I've worn dark jeans with a nice top on a few occasions and I don't see anything wrong with that. But sweatpants with Uggs? I wouldn't leave the house in that, let alone see a show.

What people are wearing doesn't bother me as much as people who EAT in the theater. I don't want to hear people unwrapping candy bars or eating their weight in potato chips. If you're

re: Photos of Patti's New Wig In GYPSY

Loving the wig, loving the "Together" costume. Fabulous!
re: Who Needs to be Back on Broadway?

Also, Lauren Bacall.
