Big River Thoughts (spoilers)

I got a free ticket from a friend to see Big River last
night and after seeing it, I am still thinking about it.
I have never seen such an interesting piece of
work on a stage before. The direction amazed me
as to how it could run so smoothly and make the
audience laugh, cry, and most importantly enjoy
everything they were seeing and hearing. The sign
language didnt confuse anything and really made
the stage look fuller and the action much more in
depth.
The thing that makes this production what it is is
the cast. Daniel Jenkins is still in fine voice and
acts his role(s) beutifully. Tyrone G..... (dont have
my playbill with me) is a revalation. There were
many a times where I thought he was speaking
and made me totally forget about the speaker. He
was amazing and it will be remembered at Tony
time. The actor that played Jim stole the show. He
made your heart break when he was singing and
made you yearn for more while he was acting.
Another major standout was the girl that played
Mary Jane. I dont know if I am the first, but her voice
when she talks and sings is so unique. She is a
Kristin Chenoweth in the making. Lastly, the
woman that played Alice had a monstrous voice!
Wow. She should replace Mary Bond Davis in
Hairspray.
Words cant express how much I loved this show.
The ending with Waitin For the light to shine was
unbelievable. I really hope this gets preserved on
tape for PBS or something.
Its a show like this that reminds me as to why I
love theatre as much as I do.

Dang, you warned us, and I still read it. Boy did you SPOIL it for all who have not seen it!!!
I'm sorry, puddin', but where were the spoilers? Is it really possible to spoil this show on a message board. I mean there really isn't any twist ending is there?

Which characters do sign langauge? I saw the performance on the TODAY show, but from a long distance, couldn't hear anything.
It looked as if everyone did sign language, but only some sang and some didn't speak at all.
Why did they choose to sign, and with this musical?
