Good - they help to publicize theater and attract people who may not normally attend.
Bad - the premium ticket prices for seeing Katie Holmes or Daniel Radcliffe will jump to $250.00 this season (300.00 for holidays).
Will those ticket prices discourage tourists? (I mean the majority of theater-goers who don't know about the myriad of discounts that we're aware of)
Or are premium seats not enough to really make a difference either way?

I think a lot of tourists know a great deal about discounts, so don't count them out! On the other hand, I'm not sure that blockbuster tickets (as I expect "Equus" to be) sell at much of a discount.
