I voted for Frank (I think that's his name). Ezra's didn't thrill me like everyone else. I'm actually really disappointed in these people. Can't they find any bigger RENTheads? And that girl at the end who rocked back and forth made me seasick...

Frank was the first old school Renthead, and he almost had me... until the Idina bit. Also, yeah... why was Katie even up there if she's like, "Yeeeh. I don't really want it."
I voted Ezra. Others- especially Megan (the HECK was that about??)- pretty much scared me.
Do we know how many more weeks they plan on stretching this out?

Yea, the grl that rocked back and forth made me thing of "Sit down, youre rocking the boat!" lol. She must ahve been really nervous.

These were better than last week's, because there were a few redeeming ones. I still don't know if I'm going to vote, but I do feel that it is unfair to write people off just because they mention Idina. If they have other GOOD reasons, there's no reason they can't mention Idina. Just my two cents.
I'm kind of wishing I had done this now. I KNOW I'm not the biggest RENThead, but I have GOOD reasons for loving RENT.

ElphieDefiesGravity, I write them off because they mention Idina exclusively. There have been about 20 videos so far. About 10 mentioned Idina, 1 mentioned Rosario and 1 mentioned Adam (only because he's hot and in addition to Idina). There was no other mention of the other cast members, except as "Idina and the rest of the cast". It's okay that they have a favorite actor in the ensemble, but this is the ultimate Renthead contest, not the ultimate Idinahead contest.

Skittles~ I can understand that, and most of them I would write off because they seem very unintelligent and seem like they only like RENT because of Idina, and no other reason. However, if she happens to be their favorite performer, AND they talk about what RENT is really about, instead of just how many times they've seen it or whatever, then I really don't feel justified in writing them off. That being said, no one so far has really fit my description, so it's kind of a moot point.

Sorry: Today was the first time I could watch all of the videos.. and I just wanted to comment.
Girls with Idina posters: wow... that was really stupid, and a complete waste of my time. What a great video to start off with...
Erin: She seemed to sincere, and I think she was probably a lot more appealing because she came after the screaming Idina fans.
Nick: He seemed okay, until he mentioned he had Idina on his cellphone. And he didn't explain why he was the biggest rent fan.
Kelly: "I have posters all over my room... and tons of memorabilia" um, okay. I have RENT magazine clippings in my room, but I'm not the biggest RENT fan. People know me more for Piazza...
Ezra: his story was inspirational, but I feel like they cut him off at the end of his video
Craig: It was nice you saw the show... but mentioning Ezra didn't make it seem like you were the biggest RENT fan.
Megan: "I know like every word of every song". She didn't even really mention RENT, she spent all of her time explaining how she breaks into song and wants to hear the harmony and chords in the songs.
Two girls & dad: it's great that you're on a missions trip and volunteering your time, but you didn't mention RENT at ALL. If RENT had influenced your life by you wanting to help people with AIDS after seeing the show... or something pertaining to the show in the connection with your missions trip, then maybe I would have voted for you.
Zuri: take a deep breath. And why did you hear it 3:00 a.m.? ... and how has RENT changed your life?
Frank: kind of was concentrating on the cast in the background. But I'm glad SOMEONE mentioned Jonathon Larson.
Katie: wow, what complete waste of a video. I'm sure that there are bigger fans than herself, but ... nothing? Complete waste of space.
Alexis: wow, the moving around. It's good that you relate to the characters, but the Idina thing at the end threw me off. It's good that Idina is an inspiration, but I feel that everyone thinks Idina is the only cast member!
This is so incredibly disappointing... so much for better videos during week 2. I wish that some of the members on this board had gone and explained the passion that they feel for RENT, and the inspiration the musical has placed in their lives.

I voted Ezra just becuase RENT helped him threw a tough time in his life. I think that Craig (is that his name?) and Ezra did seperate videos to double their chance of going.. i would've done that if i entered and if i had i wouldn't have mentioned idina menzel or how many times i've seen it (my number isnt very impressive anyway). These videos are so depressing, I really thougth I'd hear old school RENT fans about how they camped outside in the cold waiting to get lottery tickets and how it inspired them to donate money to AIDS foundations and how it helped them be a better person and mention Jonathan Larson..but it's like these people didn't even try. And if they are the biggest rentheads they probably would be on threads like these and would have known NOT to say those things.
