Wow that's so cool! I have a hard time picturing Bill Murray doing the fan/selfie thing though. I think my image of him is ruined. I always pictured him being way too snarky to do any of that.

They finally threw the publicity hail Mary! Hopefully it wasn't too late, but either way, what a great night.

I've got it: cast Bill Murray in Groundhog Day Bdwy for a 6 week run, get the word out for after Labor Day, and give that show a second life.
Except keep Andy Karl because he's Andy Karl, and cast Bill Murray as Ned Ryerson. (Don't make him sing though. That could possibly ruin Bill Murray for me.)

I feel so very envious of the people in attendance that night! Oh, how I love Bill Murray!

It's Jensen, FYI. I personally don't think they'd ask him to do that. He'd literally have one line, although he repeats it, and lay on a bench. (I'm assuming that they wouldn't have him do William Parry's entire track.)
It is fun to think about him doing Ned. I've had the same thought, even though it's highly improbable.
I do hope this somehow helps with sales, but I think it's too little, too late.

I was there - I posted last night about tickets, spontaneously bought them, and wound up front row sitting two rows ahead of Bill Murray! (Gonna brag about having better seats than him forever). Longest stagedoor wait ever for the cast but SOOOO understandable. They said they had bourbon on stage with him. All around positive energy tonight. My 4th time going and definitely the best audience I've seen - somehow the first time Andy's gotten genuine entrance applause at least when I've seen it. SUCH good energy. Hoping all this Bill Murray press helps boost ticket sales!

The audience energy Monday night was lacking. I was struck by how much more dead it was and how tepid the applause was. Really bummed that i missed Bill Murray by a day, but also bummed that i missed the energy his presence apparently added.
