Billy Elliot Broadway Cast Cd???

Hi...been out of the loop for a while. As of this writing, are there still no plans to record the broadway cast on cd? And if there are no plans, am I correct that the London cast cd with the Billy Elliot in the bottom right corner is the broadway logo? My magnet from the show has the Billy Elliot in the bottom right corner. Thanks

There are still no plans, and yes it is the one with Biully jumping on the lower right cornor.

There is no reason to rerecord the show. The London cast recording is fantastic, has a better cast and the London show is better anyway.

It is essentially the same show with some of the same performers. There is really no need for it.

Well, there were quite a few changes indeed...
-Electricity does not have the extra verse at the end
-The finale is longer
-Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher was significantly cut down
-The Angry Dance is almost entirely different

(But yeah, the London cast is far superior to Broadway's cast...)

I have not seen the Broadway cast.

I can say, though, that the Sydney cast (now in Melbourne) was much better than the London cast. If that company were to release a cast album, I would be interested.

BILLY ELLIOT is closing in Australia in June. I'm surprised it did not have a longer run in Melbourne.

I've listened to the London cast CD and I've seen the Broadway cast - 5 times now. I'll happily give the first away for a recording of Greg, Carole, and the rest of this cast. They're fabulous and the London recording doesn't come close to capturing this magic.
