After having emailed a contact at Working Title Films about who will be the 'Billy' in the recording, as well as if there any internship ossibilties at Working Title Films, this is the response I got - I am removing the email address that I was given in the email for privacy purposes:
Liam Mower will be performing Billy on the CD.
There is an intern scheme at Working Title but I'm afraid I don't know the in's and out's of how to get on it etc, so as a starting point I suggest you email ..... mention my name and ask her to point you in the right direction. (We are in fact based in a different building and so not up to speed with the running of the main film office).
Good luck!

The Team Names are all of closed pits
Easington: Was in County Durham it closed in 1994.
Markham: was in Derbyshire it closed in 1993.
Orgreave: was in Yorkshire it closed in 1990.
June 1984 saw the worst scenes of violence between the miners and the police, at Orgreave. Arthur Scargil ended up in Rotheram hospital.
The Ballet girls team names have now been changed.
Diddington, Ashington, and Beddington.

Whilst I am the first to admit that Liam is a first class artist
who provides an inspirational performance in the role of Billy perhaps MF needs reminding of three things; Firstly the show is not 'Liam Mower the Musical',secondly I would suggest that if Liam reads or is aware of this thread then he is probably very embarrassed at all this adulation at the expense of his colleagues (by all accounts he is a very modest and self effacing teenager),and thirdly the success of the Billy role is in no small part due to the performances of James,George, and Leon. They are all stars as Liam is and I am sure Travis will be.To say anything else would be discourteous and ungracious.

You really are making this Billy Elliot forum almost impossible to comment on with your continued prattle about just Liam, lets try and get back to the subject in hand and concentrate on all the positive aspects of the show, while I agree we all have favourites no one else feels the need to put the other cast members down while singing the praises of their favourite.
Without the entire cast, crew etc the show wouldn't be the hit is it today.

Posted: 10/20/05 at 8:18amThis is all getting very tedious isn't it? When I first 'found' this forum a couple of weeks ago, I was happy that I'd found somewhere where I could talk about 'Billy Elliot' - the musical AND the film, however, in light of the recent animosity that has been going on here recently I find it very offputting and unwelcoming and I'm sure any prospective new members would also. Please stop all the bickering, its not getting anybody anywhere.

I second that and most of us are prepared to get on with the topic of discussion but whenever we try it always ends up with one person ruining it!

That is a really good idea Be Inspired let's hope MF takes you up on it.

O my god.... Here we go again!
I have to say that on Sunday, I was very happy talking to you all. But starting monday, it started to get ruined. And today is the worst of this week.
I suggest that the one that cannot get on with MAJORITY of this board users, follow the suggestion of be inspired top set up a new board talking about what they love to talk about!

New Forum for Liam#1557
Posted: 10/20/05 at 10:10amThat sounds a good idea Be Inspired. People could go to individual forums and swap news and pics and share info on their favourite individual. Like a mini fan base. Do you think that's something you would like to be in charge of and be interested in doing MF?

Hi
I've sent the link to this site to a friend but they can't access it! Has anyone got any suggestions that might help as I'd really like her to see and read most of the great posts on here. Thanks in advance.
