This is all getting very tedious isn't it? When I first 'found' this forum a couple of weeks ago, I was happy that I'd found somewhere where I could talk about 'Billy Elliot' - the musical AND the film, however, in light of the recent animosity that has been going on here recently I find it very offputting and unwelcoming and I'm sure any prospective new members would also. Please stop all the bickering, its not getting anybody anywhere.
O my god.... Here we go again! I have to say that on Sunday, I was very happy talking to you all. But starting monday, it started to get ruined. And today is the worst of this week. I suggest that the one that cannot get on with MAJORITY of this board users, follow the suggestion of be inspired top set up a new board talking about what they love to talk about!
Be a BE*liever! Feel the Electricity

Walt Disney Forever
That sounds a good idea Be Inspired. People could go to individual forums and swap news and pics and share info on their favourite individual. Like a mini fan base. Do you think that's something you would like to be in charge of and be interested in doing MF?
I've sent the link to this site to a friend but they can't access it! Has anyone got any suggestions that might help as I'd really like her to see and read most of the great posts on here. Thanks in advance.
Tell your friend to go on broadwayworld.com, then click on the 'shows' tab at the top and scroll to billy. A new page will come up, and you need to go down to 'more about billy', then on this page, scroll down to the bottom where the titles of messages are written and click on one and it should take you to the message board.
If anyone dislikes the postings of any other board member, it is quite easy to exclude their postings from what you see.
Click "Your settings" at the bottom left of the window in the "SITE" section,, then in the "Message Board" section, there is a line beginning "Board Users" there is a link called "Ignore Board Users" Click that, and you can exclude the post from any board member you do not wish to see again.
So, if you disagree with someone's input to the discussion, then exclude them - simple as that.
p.s. You have to be registered member for this to work. Updated On: 10/20/05 at 11:56 AM
A long shot here, but a friend of mine and fellow board member "Electricity" has organised a group trip to see Billy tonight Thursday 20th October 2005.
He has 2 spare tickets in the Dress Circle seats J29 & 30 going for £40.00 each.
If anyone is interested please PM me as soon as possible.
According to the official billy elliot site the cd is released on 21st November, if anyone goes to the theatre next week and it's available can you post it here as I might have to go up there just to get it early! http://www.billyelliotthemusical.com/be_home.html
Everytime I log onto this board and read peoples messages to see what I have missed it seems there has been arguments and disagreements. This board is here to express love and passion for an amazing musical but there are so many quarrels!! Everyone has preferences to who they think is the best and that is understandable but I think that some people are deliberately trying to get on peoples nerves and start arguments. I hope it all stops soon as it makes this board unenjoyable for everyone, there is enough hate in the world as it is without arguments on a message board dedicated to something we all love!
I suspect when some of us log on to this site, we so straight to the 'title bout' however.... take a moment to read the "24/7' news section. They are presently headlining with a PLAYBILL press release about the pending cd. This is probably the same or similar to what Pegasus is sharing.
Secondly, for those of us on this side of the big pond who won't have the multiple sales venues - might I suggest a cyber visit to Amazon's UK site.
If it keeps with its American counterpart, on the cd's they sell, they usually list some - if not all the songs on the cd and give a 30 second or so clip. Free! In various computer styles: realplayer, windows, whatever.
To Johan: Could you somehow import that service... allowing snippets of the song?
November will atleast be here quicker than Christmas. Happy listening.
You block who YOU want to block. I am not suggesting that everyone block any one poster in particular, but if someone's post annoys YOU, then block them - it's as simple as that.
If, by their own choice, everyone blocks one particular poster, then they will get no responses, and may get bored and go away.
They may, on the other hand, simply create a new account, but that would be spotted fairly quickly, and that account too could be blocked.
Just to mention the rest of the cast, including the other children, lets not forget them. Has anyone bought the new programme with the mistake in? Updated On: 10/20/05 at 02:17 PM
OK, James and Ashley's last night was September the 17th - okay. Exactly two weeks after that, James travelled down to London for a reunion with his pals.
Who is the biggest James fan?
1. Who did he travel from Sheffield to London with? *
2. What was he eating whilst signing autographs at the front of the stalls in the evening performance?
3. Why didn't he go to the matinee? *
4. Who was playing Billy in the evening performance that day, and from where did James watch the show?
5. Where did he stay that night? ***
6. Where did James and George go on the following day?
* = answer may not be given due to privacy considerations. *** = answer will NOT be given, due to privacy considerations.
Information from all other questions could be got by anyone, so will be given later.
If you want to keep others thinking for 24 hours, PM me, or if you want to be a clever swot showoff - post your answers on the board.
Hey, im not going to try the quiz as i dont really know much about James to be honest. Its a great idea though Hokey! i think they are pretty tough questions so good lucj to whoever tries them! GMFan!! X
