"If that's true, Fosse76, that's very interesting. Do you know what the number would have been?"

It was really going to be a montage...featuring all three Billy's and the ballet girls. A hybrid-version of Solidarity...but I'm not exactly sure what it was going to entail.

"On TV it may not have translated all that well, but I'm sure it was thrilling live at Radio City. I can see this as being on one of those compilation DVDs one day."

I think it's because the dance medium doesn't seem to come across as impressive unless you are actually seeing it live in front of you. After watching all three boys live for a month, I was just absolutely enthralled by the dancing...then I saw them perform on tv show after tv show...and it just didn't seem impressive. But then I went back to watch them again and was blown away. Dance is almost a living thing that cannot be truly experienced unless performed live.

I think they should have had all three boys fly. It's always magical when actors fly, especially when kids fly.

Even on television, with wires showing, the Peter Pan flying scene always works:

Whilst I know the context of the scene I really appreciated seeing this, and the close up photography enhanced the experience. The difference between this version and the West End production was stunning. The highly emotional realism has moved on to a more surreal and metaphoric take on events, very reminiscent of Daldry's abstraction of An Inspector Calls. Very exciting, frightening and brilliant - this needs to be incorporated into the West End production.
