TKTS had almost every show available outside of the typical ones(Wicked, Lion King, Mormon & Kinky Boots). But I would bet there were great odds to get cancellation tickets tonight for all shows.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I've always been confused by this... so, if I have a ticket for a show, and the weather sucks, I just call and say I'm not coming, and they give me a refund? What happened to no refunds or exchanges?
I mean, I'm way more likely to use this in the reverse, though. Attend a show when the weather sucks. But I've always been confused by cancellations, except for places with subscribers (Roundabout, Public, etc.) There is makes sense.
Jersey Boys has a winter weather guarantee (i think starting in January?) that if you can't attend one of their shows due to winter weather, they will let you exchange it for another date. Don't know the explicit policies of other shows on the matter, but i don't know of any other formal guarantees of that sort. Informally, though, maybe some of them are willing to help people out if they aren't already heavily sold for the proposed exchange dates.
oasis-you can always leave tickets at the box office for resale and, if sold, they will give you the money. also, there are tickets not sold through normal channels and comps that can be cancelled and that produce cancellation tickets. In the former situation, it is a courtesy, not a right, just as are post-dated tickets and refunds for above the title absences. Contractually, you are entitled to none of these things.
