Hi all,

I am leaving NY at tuesday and just knew that there were such a thing as SRO for BOM (really get my hope for book of mormon back since the ticket were 300~400 on website). The only show I can go to is sunday evening (tomorrow, have stuff to do in the morning), and I have seem complete different answers regarding the arrive time. Some says for evening show, showed up at 12-1pm will do, some said 8am! (thats almost the same as matinee right?)

So my question is.... exactly which time is more reliable? I checked the broadway rush report, and it didn't specify the matinee/evening show so I don't really understand.

Also, if I have to arrive before the matinee show distribute the ticket, will there be TWO different SRO line there? how do I tell where I line in?

thanks so much for the question! Again, I am aiming on Sunday evening (which is probably the hardest one) and I was thinking going at 1pm but not sure if that will do. Thanks so much for any reply!

I've done standing room for Mormon several times (including a Sunday evening) - I would suggest getting there sometime around 2:30, at the latest 4pm. The line will form sometime in that period of time, and I haven't seen anyone getting there much earlier for the evenings than some time in the mid afternoon. Also, the standing room line is given the chance to enter the lottery, so you have that option on top of being in line for standing room.

Sunday evening doesn't tend to be the hardest, in fact, I would say Saturday evenings are the hardest performance options.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!! that really give me some confidence.

My other question is then, if I want to make sure I get the ticket so I went there at 1pm, and see no one there but the line for matinee, do I wait until that line dismiss (for the case SRO is sold out for matinee), or do I just start a new line next to it? Sorry for the dumb question but not only is this the first time I do SRO, but the first time I'm lining for Broadway show.

Another stupid question is, when forming a line, do we stand to the right of the ticket window? or it doesn't matter?

You're welcome, Brian.

You would wait until the matinee loaded in and then form the line near the small window just outside the box office. The line will get moved to allow for stage door for the matinee to occur and to load people out, but they do a good job of keeping the line in tact.

As I said, the standing room line forms near the small window outside the box office. There are people who work for Book of Mormon who are really helpful and explain the whole standing room/lottery process to you when you're there. Either way, best of luck to you, and hopefully you enjoy the show!

Thank you so much again. Just to be clear, so it is better to wait until 2pm to start the line (since they went inside the theater at about 2pm), and stay beside the ticket window?

I am just trying to make everything clear for me since I get nervous a lot when things are uncertain and if I have to see one show before leaving NY, it has to be BoM.

Thanks again for whoever answer my question!

Stand or sit by the outside ticket window. You can also enter the lottery once that starts.good luck.

Thanks for both of you to give me such good advice. Today me and my friend went there at 2pm and were the first people there. The second one showed up at 3 and gradually form a line at about 4 with dozens of people. We didn't win the lottery but still got the SRO ticket at about 5pm and it was definitely worth it! Best thing I did in NY. thank you so much again!
