Bob: The Musical?

I noticed that Disney is doing a movie called "Bob: The Musical". Wasn't there a musical awhile back called "Joe: The Musical" with a similar premise? Are they related?

re: Bob: The Musical?

Adam Shankman was attatched, he's also working on Hairspray 2 and (now) Bye Bye, Birdie as well as a few other possible projects, I'm not sure if this is a top priority for him and whichever studio for now, so it might be awhile until we hear anything else about it.
Joe, The Musical was a show about a classical actor auditioning for Broadway musicals despite his hatred of the genre and poor singing skills. This movie is about an average man who suddenly starts hearing (or seeing) people singing their inner-monologue, sort of like What Women Want.

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

re: Bob: The Musical?

Thanks for the info! For some reason I thought Joe The Musical was about a guy who wakes up in a musical.

Adam Shankman is a god.

Agreed, Diva. At least as far as "Hairspray" goes.
