Posted: 11/3/06 at 8:27pmIn terms of well-suited for adaptation, i think most of the Jane Austen novels would be prime source material. Most of them have the quinticential "The course of love ne'er did run smooth" plotline. Emma could be really well done i think, even if it's my least favourite of her books. There's enough featured characters to keep things interesting. Persuasion would be perfect, i think.

While it would probably be passed over as a Miss Saigon rip off...while I was reading Memoirs of a Geisha I thought it would make a really good stage show.
And then also I think A Seperate Piece would be pretty interesting, if done right.
