Interesting story

Barry Weissler truly turns my stomach.
When Barry Weissler brought d'Amboise in to replace Applegate, he said: 'I'm so sad for Christina, but it's about time someone paid attention to Charlotte d'Amboise."
..well if that's the friggin' case then why don't they just open ths damned show with D'Amboise?
That was so insensitive of him to say in light of Applegate's injury.
What a jerk. Serves him right. Hope the show closing leaves a big gaping hole where it hurts the most: his pocket.
As much as I LOVE what I do...I actually hope that I am never cast in a show produced by these people. Does anyone remember "the mirical worker" fiasco? Or "Seussical"? (that cast had to pitch in for their own closing night party). "Grease" started out great and then moved onto be nothing short of the "has been's" ON Broadway.
What a sad tale of what could have been. If Barry really meant what he'd said then the show would continue on to Broadway with Char huffing it up as Charity.
2million dollars isn't that much of an advance but what a waste of time MONEY and everyone involved. It is so sad to see a show close.

After I read the article I feel so bad for the cast and crew.
It must s**k having something pulled out from under you after working on it for so long. Less than two weeks before you're supposed to hit Broadway.
thank goodness charlotte is allowed to go back into Chicago..how bad would that have been?!
I think the one consolation in this is for Solange Sandy and Natasha Diaz, who had been "let go." I think it's a particularly ultimate revenge for Sandy, since she's going to be on Broadway after all in "Chicago."
