Bostonians, join in! It was a ton of fun.

Some highlights:

"Douchebag."
"Definition."
"Mitt Romney."
"Sentence."
"I can't believe that douchebag is running for president."

Logainne's face as she looks at the dildo.

Olive's "Shoulders back, etc, kneel down, mouth open."

"Miso horny GI Joe."

"I wish I could quit you Mitch Mahoney!"

Leaf giving Barfee a kiss and then Panch giving him one, too.

And Betsy Wolfe (Ms. Peretti) is HOT!!!!!!!!

Just got back from the Bee. It was amazing! I'd seen the "regular" version in NYC, but this was hilarious.

Most of the song lyrics were the same, although they did change a few here and there. Lots of spanking and skin, with William touching Olive's chest once and also banging Ms. Peretti from behind... I was really impressed with Olive's voice, just as good as Celia I'd say, and she never got out of character.

I can't forget to mention that what truly made it great, is that one of our own BWW was chosen to be on stage. I had the pleasure to meet Ashley. Who knew that your word started with a K, I thought it was C also...:)

Thanks jsand, it was great to meet you! GREAT show! I was picked as one of the spellers!!! re: Boston Spelling Bee - Adult Night It was a TON of fun. Instead of making fun of clothes or whatever, they did other stuff. I got klingalingadingdongdandy. That was fun. The other one I got escapes me at the moment, and that was the one I got right. It started with an "a".

Very funny night, though not quite as out there as I expected it to be. Instead of Olive's mother going to India, she went to Hollywood to be in scientology. I think my favorite was in the I Love You Song, instead of Rona/Olive's mother singing "oooo" at the beginning, she sang "Tom cruuuuuise". Hilarious. There was so much stuff, it's hard to remember.

Rona's outfit was hilarious as well. Her jacket was really really low and she was wearing this pushup that was very revealing.

Good point Ashley, as a guy, I did find it kind of distracting... :)

I thought the woman playing Rona was quite brilliant though. Absolutely HYSTERICAL. Her reactions to everything were priceless. And when Panch would say something wrong, the look she would give him. I adore Lisa Howard, but this girl is giving her a run for her money.

Another funny incident not visible to the audience- When the last (older guy) went up to spell, they made fun of him by saying that people always thought he was gay and he couldn't figure out why. Instead of being offended, the guy totally played it up and did some funny gestures. Greta (Marcy Park) turned around to Chip and Leaf and goes "Thank God". I think they were relieved that he wasn't offended and went with it.

You're right, Betsy Wolfe is hot, and has an amazing voice. Jenni Barber does, too.

Words.... I actually think most of them were recycled ones from past Adult Nights and a couple were from the original show.

Indigent, Mexicans, autoteabagged (the sentence was "Mrmkmrmrmrm" which was pretty funny), finger, agnate. Marcy's words were all Asian ones, which was hilarious. Onager (wild Asian ass), Miso, Hello Kitty, Origami and "#36 something shrimp salad" which was totally random.

And Logainne's "Woe Is Me" reprise was totally cut. Instead, she just said, "Go f*** yourself" and she and Mitch did this crazy handshake thing. Her epilogue was so random. About falling in love with a potato and smothering it with sour cream. I can't remember the specifics of her rant, but it had to do with Evangelical priests and being gay. That led to Bush being gay because he always has Dick behind him. Which led to Republicans being supportive, because ignorance is the best lube. It was really great though. She got a huge applause for it.

Trying to remember more...

Audience descriptions. The only one I can remember clearly is the guy who had "Seniors" on his shirt. His description was something like, "Having been raised by his grandparents, Mr. _______ has a thing for seniors."

Actr- who was your friend?

I was disappointed Logainne's reprise was cut, but it was still funny.

The older guy's audience description was that some people thought he was gay and he couldn't figure out why.

One of mine was "If she wins, she dedicates this performance to her mom and dad. If she loses, she blames it on her Uncle Larry. He knows what he did."

Jesus also told Marcy to use condoms when having sex because otherwise she'd get (anyone remember the word, I couldn't hear it)

Panch: "The Pledge of Allegiance......led by Mitchell M. Mahoney"
Ms. Peretti: "Mr. Mahoney? Do you see him? He's black."

"She thought she awoke to the crepuscule, but it was dawn. The jerk had slipped her a roofie." Panch just looks away innocently, whistling.

When Leaf loses, instead of licking Ms. Peretti's hand, he licks her breast. re: Boston Spelling Bee - Adult Night

jsand, was it something like, "...but don't tell them I told you so."?

Most of these sound like the same ones they used in SF. Did Marcy call Chip "asshole" instead of "jerk"? Did they toss out condoms instead of spelling cards?

Marcy actually calls Chip an "asshole" in the regular performances. Tonight, he was a "cocksucker".

And yup, condoms. It was cute, at the curtain call, one of the guys in the front row picked up a condom and gave it to Chip, telling him that he might need it.

Hi, I'm new here, but I was at the bee, and I thought it was amazing tonight. Seeing the show in NYC several times and comparing it to this is, it's like a completely different show.

Marcy called Chip a cocksucker, not an asshole.
Yes, she threw condoms, so funny.

And Jesus told Marcy "when you start having sex please use contraception, but don't tell anyone I told you that."

Jenni Barber is my favorite person in that cast (Jared Gertner is pretty damn good too)... I loved the E.T. references and "I wish you could phone home" in the I Love You Song. Definitely the best number of the night.

I loved when Barfee called Mitch his homeslice.

Mitch's rant about Peretti, the bitch, beating him 22 years ago in the spelling bee was hillarious too.

Another highlight was in Magic Foot Barfee said "I love you Magic foot almost as much as I love my magic penis"

And Barfee's mom, usually Monique in the Boston version, was Conchita, his hispanic cleaning lady. One day he found Conchita cleaning his father's testicles.

And, finally, Marcy's leapord print thong. I was not expecting that, so ****in funny.

But by far, my favorite part [besides I Love You Song] was when Olive got down on her knees when Panche told her too... WOW!

Question, I saw the dildo on the stage, but where did it come from? Who put it there? I guess I missed it.

Needless to say, the cast is very talented and it's too bad the show is closing December 31. Barber, Gertner, Iglehart, and Wolfe will be in NYC soon (I hope)

If the dildo thing is anything like how it was done in SF, Marcy pulls it out of Rona Lisa's purse and walks around with it, and at the end of the song someone leaves it in the middle of the stage.

Two more things I just remembered.

Olive was "Hilary Duff's busted up hymen" for Halloween.

Logainne's word, shocker. She spelled it with her usual sign language, but it ended with her doing the actual hand gesture. She just looked at her hand like it had a mind of its own.
