Don't forget The Producers. That had lines at the box office, but other than that, there haven't been in years.

I beg to differ. My subway line stops right next to the Palace Theatre (N,R,W), and consistently throughout previews, and this week, I have seen lines in that box office. I have RARELY walked by without seeing at least 5-6 people in the line inside. More than a handful of times, I have seen a line the length of the box office... and these were not people there for student rush!

You also might as well get there early before the show starts as the lines have been so far out the building.

How is student rush for this show, say, on a Sunday for the evening? Do they sell them at 12 when the box office opens or later?

They do sell them at 12. Sundays seem to be the worst for rushing...I would get there by nine to be safe.
