In movies and what not box seats are always made out to be the place where head of states sit and where the finest of people love to sit. Why is this when we all know those are the worst seats?

I believe it is because way back when t was a status thing... A place to be seen and show off your importance. I could be wrong but that was my understanding....

It works way better as a visual, anyway. Separate from the masses yet close to the action, which allows you to see everything at the same time.
