Boy From Oz incident#0

Yesterday, at The Boy From Oz, during the show, the theater got so hot that two people fainted and they had to stop the show and ambulances and everything were everywhere. Instead of being like 2 hours and 40 minutes, the show lasted for nearly 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The air conditioners weren't enough to contain Hugh's hottness. lesigh!

But on a serious note- that's so sad. and dangerous!!

During what song did this happen? Any other details?

Here's a thread on the performance from the Boy From Oz forums with some accounts of what happened.

I don't think it had anything to do with the heat. Evidently someone had a seizure and someone else was ill as well. Thankfully there were doctors sitting nearby and everyone seemed to come out of it okay.

I was there - the theatre was at normal temperature. It seems that someone had a seizure, and someone else fainted in response. We heard someone cry out during a dramatic scene from back orchestra, wondered why anyone would cry out at that point, then realized they were screaming "Help" as if they were being attacked. The onstage performers at that point (Hugh Jackman and Stephanie Block) stopped and called for the house lights and for someone to call 911. Some doctors happened to be in the audience and they attended to the individuals untill the paramedics arrived. Performance continued where it left off after they were taken care of, hopefully both are fine.

are they sure it wasn't just some old queen who wanted Hugh to give him mouth to mouth?

Was Paul Lynde in the audience?

It is not the lack of air-conditioning folks that make you sweat, it is Hugh performing. What a hottie!!!!!

Some years ago in London, while watching a revival of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, someone from our row in the dress circle ( front mezzanine) had practically passed out and was helped out of the aisle and was sat down on the steps. Fortunately, my niece who was with me, is a doctor and was able to come to her aid immediately. There was hardly any commotion although there were looks of concern from the rows close to where it happened as many feared she was having a heart attack. It happened close to some of the more gripping parts of the show, which we partly missed as we were somewhat distracted...After a while she was helped out of the theatre by her companion when she felt a lot better.

I think this thread was hilarious and loved how few cared about the sick people but only what part of the show got stopped or if the AC will be working by their performance! HAHA!!
