I'm into all areas of Entertainment(Hollywood, Broadway, Music) My favorite films are FORREST GUMP, AMERICAN BEAUTY, and DANCES WITH WOLVES. My favorite shows are STARLIGHT EXPRESS, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND, THE WHO'S TOMMY and THE CIVIL WAR(just the music, not the show) My favorite music artists are Rick Springfield, Pink Floyd, Queen, Bryan Adams, Sarah Brightman, and Meat Loaf. Yes, I'm a decade behind but I have issues with most modern music. I'm also a travel junkie and follow airplanes, trains, and very frequently travel on cruise ships. I don't like sports which is why I go to the gym to stay fit.

How did the brokers get all these prime seats? Why did they seem to know about the release of tickets long before anyone else? (Or are there simply a lot of fans who got great tickets but haven't mentioned it anywhere? If so, then I wonder if those are the avid fans who most likely would pay those exhorbitant prices.)

Ah, well. I'm glad not to have to make the decision to spend the premium prices anyway. Paying three or four times what I paid for my rear mezzanine seat to upgrade just slightly (to rear orchestra or front mezz) just didn't seem worth it. But being able to upgrade to something in the front might have been a bit more tempting.

JMVR- I wonder if anyone tells you about partial view seats. I've heard Wicked will tell you about certain obstructed view seats, but when I got a seat on the far right at Chicago I couldn't see much of the right side of the stage and I wasn't told a thing.

As for BFO- heh. I might have bought the rear mezz seats while they were available (I did know about them), but considering I've already seen the show from the orchestra for the same price and that I'll be in school when the performance happens, it's just not worth it for me.

Matt_G, I don't think that price raises on one performance- and the final performance of a show with a well-to-do cult following, at that- are a reflection on the general state of theater. As I stated before, I think the universal price raises to $100 once The Producers came out were a lot worse.
