Joey Fatone did musicals in high school like most all of us. He got the lucky break of being in a hugely successful pop group. Now, while not working currently with said pop group, he is taking advantage of that bit of fame to go back and do theatre and film.

DO YOU REALLY BLAME HIM? It's what ANY of us would do.

You do what you can to get your break in this business. I wish that things wouldn't be so generalized on this board.

So, good for him and anyone else who gets the chance to star on Broadway any way they can. Everyone has their own unique journey through this business.

And, the outreach to new audiences is the BEST part.

Very good point, jrb! I'm with you on that. Unfortunately, over here in London's West End, producers are casting boy band members or soap stars regardless of their stage talent; and that's really pissing me off. Sometimes I long for the understudy to go on.
