Question for people who have seen her as Celie: Does she hit the high note in I'm Here or does she "Fantasia" it?

From what I remember, yes, she does hit the high note. Bre Jackson is phenomenal in the role.

From what I remember, I believe she does as well. And yes, she is truly glorious in the role!!

She hits it. I was disappointed when I first saw the understudy board because I took my dad when Erivo was out, but Bre was phenomenal. I have seen them both and while Erivo is well deserving of heart Tony, I would not hesitate to see it with Bre.
