My wishful thinking is that she'll be the next Mary after Bowen leaves...

Who is running the best Tony campaign?

Depending on the length, I wouldn't be surprised if Cole was the National Tour Mary.

I wonder why they haven't announced an extension yet. Is there another show looking to take the Lyceum for the Spring?

My friend just got an email that the November 4th performance was canceled. It looks like they're switching from Tuesday evening to Thursday matinee performances.

Has anyone been to a Broadway Rave?

Jun 20, 2025 — 1:16:41 PM

I went to one in Oklahoma City a couple years ago. It was advertised as, well, a rave, so I was expecting it to be remixes, but it's just the songs. There were often times where they played songs with dialogue in the middle that just made the space feel awkward. The rave portion were lights that didn't fit with the songs at all. Showtunes I remember them playing are "Footloose" from the stage version Footloose, "Hello" from Book of Mormon, a couple "Wicked" songs, quite a few Disney songs. Mo...

Immersive AMERICAN PSYCHO Premiering 2025 In Brooklyn?

May 28, 2025 — 12:41:53 PM

The original production was ahead of its time, I would love to see this show again. Off-Broadway is a fantastic place for this show to have a second life. I still hold by my opinion that American Psycho should've won Best Lighting over Hamilton.

She was fantastic in Bug at Steppenwolf a few years back. Definitely should be a Tracy Letts play, perhaps a new work?

AUDRA GYPSY Reviews

MemorableUserName said: "I apologize for any confusion, or if there is a more accepted term when it comes to Broadway. I do tend of think of it more when it comes to movie reviews, where a review embargo tends to be a widely known concept. The fact that theater reviewers don't drop their reviews whenever they want before opening, but at a time on opening night dictated by the production, would seem to indicate the same concept is at work,so it's the term that came to mind.&

NY TIMES - MHE IN 10 BEST OF 2024!

Dreamboy3 said: "There are other threads already on this topic, but wanted to offer a view to counter the gushing narrative that has taken over this board. I don’t get it. Yes, the design and staging are great (though the design may work against the material) but everything else about this show was mediocre, with the score not even meeting that low standard. I admired Criss’ performance but that is the best I can say about the two leads And when I saw it this weekend, the audience response wa...

It wasn't exactly a tote bag for Gypsy, but a newsboy bag seen in the Dainty June numbers. Thought it was a cute nod. When I went to the Anastasia first preview it was a button.
